His practice encompasses complex financial disputes, custody matters, support issues, and the negotiation and enforcement of premarital agreements.
Richard is widely regarded as an authority on prenuptial agreements and is the author of Drafting Premarital Agreements, a leading treatise on premarital agreement law that is now in its twentieth edition. The publication is frequently referenced by family law practitioners and serves as a comprehensive resource on the preparation and enforceability of premarital agreements.
In addition to his litigation practice, Richard has been trained by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as both a matrimonial mediator and matrimonial arbitrator. He has lectured extensively on family law topics for legal organizations throughout the country, including the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania State Bar Association, and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education of New Jersey.
Richard has also participated in significant reported decisions, including Tannen v. Tannen, a notable New Jersey family law case that was ultimately affirmed by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
