Robert Giancaterino joined Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. in 1982. He is a former Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Taxation Section, and has also chaired the Real Property Tax Practice and Procedure Committee of that Section. Robert concentrates his practice primarily in local property taxation, condemnation, related real property valuation issues and general commercial litigation.

As an attorney focused on New Jersey real property valuation litigation, Robert served as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court and has lectured on local property tax topics at programs of continuing education for the New Jersey Tax Assessor Association conducted by Rutgers University, as well as serving as an instructor in programs for appraisers who are candidates for the MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute. Additionally, he has served as a guest lecturer for the International Association of Assessing Officials.

Robert has extensive trial experience and has successfully litigated matters at every level of the judicial system in the State of New Jersey. His cases have created a considerable body of precedent in the Tax Court and his experience and involvement with the profession have enabled him to be intimately familiar with all aspects of real property valuation litigation.

Robert has earned the “AV Preeminent Rating-Judicial Edition” from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings, an “AV Rating for Ten Years” award from Martindale-Hubbell signifying “Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards,” has been recognized on the “Super Lawyer” list from 2010-2013, and was invited by the then Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Tax court to present a eulogy for Honorable John J, Hopkins, Judge of the Tax Court, published at 19 NJ Tax (2001).
