Judge Issenman heads the Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. mediation and arbitration practice. The Judge has practiced law for over forty-five years. For twenty years he served on the bench in the Superior Court Family Division making him New Jersey’s longest-sitting Family Division Judge at the time of his retirement from the bench. He estimates that during his time on the bench, he presided over more than 21,000 divorces.

The Judge’s vast experience enables him to fully serve the needs of each client and lends itself to a practice mediating all issues in family law. His clients appreciate his practical approach and sage advice. He also serves as an arbitrator for complex divorce cases for spouses who wish to have their matter decided by an experienced judge in a private setting. When arbitrating a matter, Judge Issenman recognizes the great responsibility spouses have placed in his hands and strives to adjudicate every item with efficiency, fairness, and expediency. As a valuable member of the Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. family law department, Judge Issenman is also available to consult with our family lawyers to assist in their effective representation of divorcing spouses.

Judge Issenman has earned several bar admittances, culminating with his admittance in 1983 to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. He is a frequent continuing education lecturer on a variety of matrimonial matters, including custody and parenting, cash and tax returns and equitable distribution. He serves on the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is a master in the Barry I. Croland Northern New Jersey Inns of Court. Prior to his retirement from the bench, Judge Issenman authored the decision of White v. White 344 N.J. Super 211 (Ch.
