Gary is one of the founders of Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. and has helped shape the practice of family law in New Jersey for more than 60 years. Throughout his distinguished career, he has argued many of the state’s leading matrimonial cases, including the landmark Baby M. surrogate motherhood case, one of the most significant family law decisions in New Jersey history.
He represents accomplished individuals and their spouses across a broad range of professions, including finance, real estate, professional sports, entertainment, law, and medicine. While he has successfully litigated many of New Jersey’s most complex family law matters, Gary considers his greatest accomplishments to be the difficult cases resolved amicably and privately, allowing clients to move forward with dignity.
Gary is also one of the foremost authors in the field of family law. He is the author of New Jersey Family Law Practice, now in its fifteenth edition, which is widely regarded as one of the leading treatises on New Jersey family law and is frequently relied upon by judges and practitioners throughout the state.
In addition to his legal practice, Gary has served as an adjunct professor of Family Law at both Seton Hall Law School and Rutgers Law School. He is also a frequent lecturer for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and other national legal organizations, sharing his experience with attorneys throughout the country.
