Saul Wolfe is a founding attorney of Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., and is widely recognized as a pioneer in New Jersey property tax law. Throughout his distinguished career, he has focused on state and local taxation, with an emphasis on real property tax appeals and assessment matters. In addition to representing taxpayers, Saul has played a significant role in shaping New Jersey’s property tax system through decades of leadership, legislative work, and service to the legal profession.

Experience
Saul devoted his career to advancing the practice of property tax law throughout New Jersey. After earning his Certified Tax Assessor designation from the State of New Jersey, he briefly served as the Tax Assessor for the City of Newark.
He was instrumental in the creation of the New Jersey Tax Court, helping draft its original Rules of Practice. Saul also served as one of the original members of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court, where he continued to serve for many years through appointments by the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
A founding member and Board member of the National Institute of Property Tax Attorneys, Saul helped establish one of the nation’s leading organizations devoted to property tax practitioners. He also authored the first published handbook on real estate tax appeals in New Jersey, creating an invaluable resource for attorneys, appraisers, and tax professionals.
Throughout his career, Saul lectured extensively throughout the United States and Canada for the Appraisal Institute, the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), and numerous legal and appraisal organizations on property taxation, valuation, and assessment issues.
