Biography

Richard H. Singer, Jr. joined Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. in 1973. Over the past three decades he has focused his practice exclusively on family and matrimonial matters, and has gained a wealth of experience that distinguishes him from other family law practitioners.

Mr. Singer represents a broad spectrum of individuals and has been involved in many complex, high net worth cases, including many matters involving professional athletes and other celebrities. He has successfully tried many cases in Family Courts throughout New Jersey and has appeared before the Appellate Division and the State Supreme Court.

Mr. Singer was named by New Jersey Monthly Magazine as one of the top 100 “Super Lawyers” in the State of New Jersey. This designation was not limited to Family Law practitioners, but encompassed all practicing attorneys in the State of New Jersey.

Mr. Singer is an Officer of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), New Jersey Chapter. He served as a member of the Board of Managers of the New Jersey Chapter from 1993 through 1997. Mr. Singer was on the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Family Law Section from 1980 through 1988 and served as Chair of the Equitable Division Sub-Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Singer has been trained by the AAML as a matrimonial mediator and a matrimonial arbitrator. Mr. Singer has lectured frequently for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education of the State of New Jersey (ICLE) and has lectured on family law issues for the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania State Bar Association.

He is a recognized expert in the area of premarital agreements and is the co-author of Drafting Prenuptial Agreements, published by Aspen Law & Business, which is currently in its Eighth Edition. He is also the author of Premarital Agreements, The Future is Now, in the Encyclopedia of Matrimonial Practice, published by Prentice Hall.
