Biography

Joseph M. “Bud”  Murphy, Jr. is experienced in all areas of matrimonial law, including divorce litigation and mediation, domestic violence, custody and parenting time issues, child support and spousal support issues, prenuptial agreements, equitable distribution issues and post-judgment litigation.  Bud is a Certified Mediator by the State of New Jersey.  He is also a member of the Early Settlement Panel in Somerset County, New Jersey.

Prior to joining Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., Bud was an associate with Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A. and with Smith & Doran, P.C. While attending law school, he interned with the New York City Legal Aid Society and the State of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender in Paterson, New Jersey.  Bud also law clerked with Afflitto Raimondi & Afflitto in Wayne, New Jersey, and served as a Judicial law Clerk for the Honorable Ernest M. Caposela, J.S.C., in Paterson, New Jersey.
